This is an original oil painting of a white crowned sparrow on a wooden cigar box. It measures approximately 7.5 x 5.5 x 2.75 inches.
When I took the painter's tape off of the edges after I finished painting the sparrow, some of the gold on the cigar box tore, so I repaired it using imitation gold leaf. These repairs are shown in the photos. (It looks better in person than it does in the photos.)
The painting was inspired by one of the many birds that visit my feeders and birdbaths here in New Mexico.
