Equinox - bighorn ram
We encountered this handsome bighorn ram early one morning close to the top of Ryan Peak in Joshua Tree National park. The sun was shining on those massive horns, and that moment was what inspired this painting.
This ram is painted on a cradled wood panel with oil paint. The edges of the panel were left the natural birch color for a simple, clean look. It isn't necessary to frame this painting unless you want to. It is wired and ready to hang. I have signed the painting on the front and the back.
This is an original, one of a kind oil painting. It is unique. I do not paint the same image more than once.
The painting measures 12 x 10 inches, and the panel is about 1/2 an inch deep.
